Simone Biles may be the most decorated gymnast of all time, but there’s another title she sees in her future: mom.
The 27-year-old, who cemented her place in gymnastics history with a stellar 2024 Paris Olympics, recently revealed that she and husband Jonathan Owens are “most definitely” hoping to expand their family down the line.
“Yes, me and Jonathan always talk about kids,” Biles told Hoda Kotb on Today Aug 6. “He would have had them yesterday if he could have. Obviously, we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family, but yes, that’s definitely in our future.”
Biles and the Chicago Bears player tied the knot in 2023 after meeting on a dating app. And the NFL star was sure to be in the stands cheering her on in Paris as he secured special permission to leave training camp to support his wife at the Olympics.
“He was so excited,” Biles gushed. “He absolutely loved that and, obviously, he loved going to see me compete. He was still keeping score. It meant the world to him because he’s seen the amount of hours I’ve put in, so to actually see in person. He was like, ‘Wow this is amazing.’”
Paris marked Biles’ third Olympic games and along with teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera, Biles brought the U.S. an all-around team gold medal. She also took home gold in individual all-around and the vault as well as a silver medal in the individual floor routine, bringing her total Olympic medal count to 11.
But that’s not to say the 27-year-old is ditching the chalk anytime soon.
“You never say never. The next Olympics is on home turf, so you just never know,” Biles said of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. “I’m just gonna relax and see where life takes me.”
During the four years in between Biles' last Olympic games in Tokyo and Paris, she met and married Owens. Look back at the couple's whirlwind romance.
Jonathan Owens paid tribute to Simone Biles just before the 2024 Olympics: "No words can describe how proud of you i am baby... Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to EVER do it, how did i get so lucky."
The Olympian and NFL player cuddled up courtside for a Houston Rockets game in January 2024.
The gymnast was there to celebrate with Jonathan when the Green Bay Packers won their game on Nov. 5 2023.
Just weeks after their courthouse ceremony, the couple married again in front of friends and family in Cabo San Lucas on May 6, 2023.
"Married girl summer," Simone captioned this shot from shortly after their wedding.
The gold medalist and Houston Texans safety enjoyed a date night at the 2022 World Series.
In December 2021, Simone congratulated her then-boyfriend for reaching a career milestone: "I'm so proud of you, watching you get your first NFL interception & fumble recovery was a dream!"
She made time to support her him at practice, writing "Open practices aka bring your girlfriend to work day."
The power couple continued their streak of celebrating holidays together, with Simone sharing this pic of them on Easter 2021.
"Lucky to be loved by you," Simone captioned this moment of the pair celebrating Valentine's Day in 2021.
They rang in the New Year with style. As she wrote, "Us against 2021."
In 2020, the pair celebrated their first Christmas together.
"The only time I fall is when he’s there to catch me," the gymnast captioned this adorable snap.
The pair went Instagram official in August 2020, with Simone writing, "It's just us," alongside her post.
